Highland Pest Control in October 2025

Highland Pest Control provides competitive and qualified Pest Control to Inverness and the surrounding areas

October has been another busy month for Highland Pest Control, Bedbugs are hitting the Highlands hard as well as Cockroaches, We also had a few Wasp call outs in October which is very rare the usual bird spiking work. We are now getting more Rat and Mice call outs which is the norm as the temperature drops.

Bedbugs

We use steam machines to get to the parts insecticide cannot reach it’s the only way to ensure successful treatments.

Rodents

We are getting a steady amount of call outs for mouse and rats Infestations mainly dealt using breakback traps which are environmentally friendly.

Roof spiking

We placed Spikes on customers roofs to stop Seagulls and Pigeons roosting on roofs and leaving bird waste on doorsteps and in Gutters, the weather needs to be dry to allow the adhesive to work effectively.

Wasp Nest removal

We were tasked with removing a large wasp nest from an attic as you can see its very intricate and had taken all season to get to the size of a beach ball.

Cloth Moths

These are very destructive and can really damage cloths and textiles fogging of the area to knockdown the moths and then a spray treatment is required.

Cockroaches

are becoming more prevalent in the Highlands we treated 3 properties this month, they are brought in luggage and food products but also enter properties via newly purchased white goods.

Moles

Mole activity continues throughout the year and placing Traps gets more difficult as the weather worsens.
