March was a fairly warm month with Summer approaching it starts getting busier for Pest Control Companies but there are always customers with immediate issues, and they are varied. This is a list of some of the work carried out in March.
Brown Rats: There has been a steady call out for Rats in and around properties this month the warmer weather increases the activity of this particular pest we had several Rats in Lofts and in the Living areas of properties.
House Mice -House mice are probably the most common pest in the UK and it’s not different in the Highlands ,there was multiple call outs for mouse activity in the Kitchen and Lofts, Customers phoning after hearing scratching in the middle of the night.
Bedbugs- More Bedbug callouts and as we approach the holiday season the influx of tourists will increase the Bedbug activity. Multiple Insecticidal sprays and steam will remove the problem.
Moles: Moles become very active at this time of year and can cause a lot of damage to someone’s garden we had a lot of call outs for Moles on drives and in Gardens.
Bird Spikes: Placing bird spikes on properties to deny birds nesting on roofs is a good way to deter roosting on properties. and all the problems that come with chicks later in the year. We Spikes and capped a few Chimney stacks this month
